~~~ HUNT FAQS ~~~

The object you are looking at when you land at a shop and find the STEAM XVIII poster, is called the HINT OBJECT.  The object you are hunting FOR is called the HUNT OBJECT.

Each shop will have an event poster within view of where you land.  A "HINT ITEM" should be on or near it, except for those shops that participate in many hunts and may have a separate multiple hint giver.  Look for these!

STEAM XVIII: Wild, Wild, West runs from March 1st to March 31st

We have a grid-wide hunt, a quest that takes place at the landing sim, and many fun activities such as a train ride, social activities and DJ'd dances.  Join the fun!

AT THE WELCOME CENTER YOU WILL FIND information about 3 things:

> About us and group join.   Please join the Mieville Historical Hunt group for up to date event info

> Grid-wide Hunt information, explaining what you are looking for and what shops to go to.  The first gift is here at the event!

> A fun story quest: get info about the Quest that takes place right here in the sim.

There will be free gifts throughout SL for you to find.  You'll be offered a variety of gifts as you search for the hidden hunt item.  All hunt items are clickable and will place the gifts directly into your inventory in a FOLDER.

● Please do not contact shop owners directly.  All enquiries should come to a member of the event organizing team in the form of notecards as I/Ms are frequently capped.

● Please respect everyone participating:  designers, shop owners, other hunters.  We expect courtesy in the group I/M as well.

● Please keep your lag as low as possible while hunting; do not wear a lot of prims, scripts and items like bling, weapons and HUDs.  These will slow things down for everyone.
